No one seems to know when Tiger Woods will be returning to the PGA Tour, let alone whether he will performing up to his incomparable standards. Even caddie Steve Williams pleads ignorance - although he'll have to explain that to Elin. With so few places to turn, we called on The Amazing Kreskin, who is to mentalists what Woods is to hackers. Kreskin, who just turned 75, says he has given the matter a lot of thought and has some definite ideas on Tiger post-scandal. The bottom line: Woods will find success again on the golf course but will never...

Williams says he knew nothing about affairs, is mad about media reaction. WELLINGTON, New Zealand - Tiger Woods’ caddie said he knew nothing about the golfer’s extramarital affairs and was angry with him over the scandal. Steve Williams told TV3’s “60 Minutes” program Wednesday that he also is bitter at the reaction toward him from the media and members of the public. “It’s been the most difficult time of my life, no two ways about it, because every single person believed that I should know or did know or had something to do with it,” Williams said. “I knew nothing,...

Tiger Woods received a phone call from Barack Obama offering him support as he tries to rebuild his life, it is claimed. Mr Obama, himself a keen golfer, is said to have contacted the 34-year-old Woods following his astonishing TV public apology for 'irresponsible and selfish' behaviour last month. Ex-president Bill Clinton, himself no stranger to humiliating and public exposure over his extramarital affairs, is also thought to have called to offer his support.

Jon Friedman of Marketwatch recently wrote a column in which he contends that Tiger Woods will eventually be bigger than ever as long as he can get control of his sex-addiction and that the public views it as such. Friedman also highlighted the fact that the public loves a “comeback story” which will be a key factor in Tiger’s future success. I agree with Friedman’s entire premise but I don’t think that Woods needs to wait for public perception to turn. It is not a question of whether Tiger Woods can become “bigger than ever”. Tiger Woods –is- bigger than...

MARANA, Ariz. – Tiger Woods isn’t playing the WGC-Accenture Match Play, a tournament he has won three times, but his presence is being felt here. Like a dark cloud in Arizona sunlight. In mid-December, Accenture dropped Woods as a commercial spokesman. Wednesday, the Woods camp dropped this little diversionary bombshell on the first day of Accenture’s PGA Tour event: Woods will be seen and heard Friday for the first time since his sex scandal began unfolding at Thanksgiving and led to his indefinite leave from golf. Woods will appear in an ultra-controlled setting, in line with his modus operandi of...

When Tiger Woods sits down in Florida Friday with "friends, colleagues and close associates," he won't really be there to make amends, as his agent suggested Wednesday. Woods will be coming back to launch a new, 2010 version of Tiger Woods, the same as if he were launching this year's version of his video game. Woods doesn't want to take questions, so he won't, because he's still Tiger Woods. But all husbands caught cheating - just once - probably wish they could find this soft a place to land. The agent, an overbearing and wildly overrated huckster named Mark Steinberg,...

Tiger Woods could be out of sex rehab and back on the links in two weeks, an Australian newspaper reported Wednesday. Woods is "poised to make a shock return to competitive golf" in the upcoming Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, according to the Herald Sun of Melbourne, which did not cite a source. The top spokesman for the PGA Tour would not confirm the Herald Sun story. "We have no comment," Ty Votaw said. Still, if true, this would mark the first time Woods competed in a golf tournament since the sex scandal that ruined his good-guy reputation exploded...
